The tunic is one of the most beloved cornerstones of Finnish women's wardrobes of all time. And no wonder, because tunics are wonderfully versatile, fit perfectly, and are somewhere between a loose blouse and a dress . Often a nice loose tunic, equipped with pockets and beautiful, is easy to wear with leggings or jeans . In the summer heat, however, forget about the bottom and wear the tunic like a traditional dress or wear shorts underneath at most. It is also a really fun and trendy combination if, for example, the frayed legs of denim shorts or the ruffled legs of linen shorts flash under a linen tunic. You can bring attitude to a women's tunic with a denim or leather jacket, for example.
Linen tunic, jersey tunic or cotton tunic – which is your favorite?
The BYPIAS collection covers a wide range of tunic styles, including linen tunics, cotton tunics and jersey tunics. However, the most common BYPIAS tunic is made of stone-washed, super-comfy linen. The whole story of our brand got its start when Pia was looking for the perfect work outfit for herself, with a special linen tunic in mind. When she couldn’t find what she wanted, she designed and had it made herself. That’s why we know the taste and sense of style of Finnish women. A cotton or linen tunic doesn’t have to be boring or simple – we add great details to our tunics, such as flattering pleats, pockets hidden in the side seams, frilled sleeves and hems or puff sleeves.
Versatile and fitted women's tunics for all sizes
BYPIAS tunics are available in long sleeves as well as sleeveless or short-sleeved versions. We make women's tunics loose, intentionally slightly oversized, so that they fit as many different body types as possible. We also love patterns, just like our customers. Different floral patterns and lively paisley patterns are great for tunics. Our collection also includes plenty of linen tunics that bloom in competition with summery, colorful flower meadows. We usually make smaller batches of women's linen tunics in limited edition style from these floral patterned fabrics for the summer seasons. Viscose, which drapes beautifully and feels wonderfully soft and cool on the skin, also works well as a tunic material. Paisley patterned tunics have been particularly popular, as they are wonderfully light to wear and can be easily accessorized with a belt, hat, and jewelry .
Tunics can be worn in both summer and winter without any worries. You can also spice up the tunic look with different necklines and pockets. The classic v-neck flatters many wearers, but our collection also includes wonderful round-neck and boat-neck tunics. Buttoned, tunic-style long shirts also work great as light jackets.
